Before Ashley Simpson caused a fervor with her lip-synching, Fear caused a riot in the SNL studios. This performance was legendary for a couple of reasons, One, they got the live plug pulled during the middle of their third song and two, a bunch of the DC hardcore kids made the drive up to see this show, including some squirrely kid named Ian Mackaye.
